Filmop's green commitment continues: new CO2 offsetting projects for 2026
For Filmop, sustainability is not a goal that has already been achieved, but a commitment that evolves and grows stronger year after year. Since 2023, the company has been actively supporting international carbon offset programmes as a concrete step towards meeting the goals of the UN 2030 Agenda. Using the certified Carbon Footprint Systematic Approach, Filmop systematically quantifies the carbon footprint of its trolleys and implements robust carbon offset policies. For 2026, the company has decided to launch two new initiatives in Africa that go beyond simply offsetting emissions, aiming to bring about profound and lasting change for both ecosystems and local communities.
Ivory Coast: clean energy with Soubré Hydropower
The first project supported in 2026 is the Soubré Hydropower scheme in Côte d'Ivoire, a hydroelectric facility that is crucial to the country’s energy transition. The value of the initiative lies in its ability to combine climate protection with social development: the power station generates energy from renewable sources whilst, at the same time, boosting the local economy by creating new jobs and upgrading public infrastructure.
Kenya: protecting biodiversity through the Kasigau Corridor REDD Project
In Kenya, Filmop is supporting Phase II of the Kasigau Corridor REDD Project, a programme dedicated to safeguarding a vital ecological corridor threatened by deforestation. Through reforestation and afforestation initiatives, the project protects valuable natural habitats, combining environmental action with community support. The introduction of educational programmes in schools and support for local micro-enterprises promote resilience based on the population’s economic self-sufficiency.

Joining certified climate protection and reforestation projects is a natural extension of the deep-rooted environmental responsibility that has characterised the company for over fifty years. Filmop continuously develops solutions with a low environmental impact, using PSV-certified recycled plastics (Plastic Second Life) and offering products bearing the EU Ecolabel. We firmly believe that safeguarding the planet and protecting health are not merely ideals, but the very foundations of every strategic decision we make, ensuring that the growth of the cleaning industry is always, and truly, responsible.
